Katrina and Donations

"Having lived through hurricane Hugo I pass this sage advice on: if you have a family member or friend that was affected send your "donation" directly to them. The Red Cross and all other organizations will eventually get help to those affected BUT it will take time and staff and administration costs. We must help our fellow Americans. So start where you are most connected. We have a cousin and her fiance who have lost most of everything and perhaps many of his family; our check is going to them first."
